Kylie Jenner Dupes?

I am a huge fan of Kylie Jenner's Lip range and signature lip colours and when I seen that she was releasing her kits I was pretty excited - but living in Northern Ireland it is incredibly difficult to get your hands on these kinds of products from higher end brands - so I decided to go on a hunt to try and find some lip products that could be a dupe for the Kylier Jenner Lip Kits and I think I have found them *squeals*

And they are the....... Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Colours
I found three shades which I think are the perfect dupes for Kylie Jenners lip colours - they are a liquid lipstick which dries to a matte finish, but with the clear balm to put on top it adds a very nice sheen and makes them very moisturising an long lasting. They aren't drying and are very comfortable and for only £10.99 they are reasonably affordable from your local drugstore. The only "problem" I guess you could say is that you don't get a lot of product, I would say only 1/3 of the packaging is the product and the rest is the brush - and within each set you get a balm - I would have preferred to have had more product for the £10.99 and then been able to buy the balm seperately (which you can actually do) instead of paying £10.99 each time and getting another balm and hardly any product.

First Impression - Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 08 Grand Cru

I bought this on Saturday, and I've literally worn it everyday since. It's absoloutely lovely. Its a new Rouge Edition line from Bourjois and it's called Velvet which is a liquid lipstick range. When I first swatched this shade, I wasn't 100% sure on it and I wasnt sure if that was because it was just a tester and maybe with everyone using it it had made it go all weird or what, but I decided to risk it anyway as I had £10 gathered up on my boots card as you do.
But I really do love it, it's a really velvety consistency and it feels so soft when applied to my lips, all of the products in this range are a matte finish, and even with that it doesn't leave my lips feeling, or looking dry which is a huge bonus in my book. It does last a long time as well which is awesome. I also love the packaging, it's beautiful and simple and I also love the applicator as it is quite small so it means I don't have to waste time lining my lips or anything.
Overall I really do love this and I intend to buy more from this range.

First Impression - Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stain in Parisian Passion 005

I'm very much into lip stains and when I Fleur de Force's review on how these and how much she liked them I knew I had to give them a try. I chose this colour because it looked like a lovely dark berry colour, and I'm sure yous are all aware that I love those kinds of shades for Autumn Winter.
I do really like this product, it's really soft and moisturising on my lips, and as you can do with a lip stain product, you can build the layers and even after about three layers of this product, it didn't dry out my lips.
The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the shade, when I initially seen the product and packaging, it looked like a really dark berry shade, but when it's applied and even after three layers, it's more like a mix between a fuscia shade and a plum shade. But even at that, it's still a really nice product and I intend to wear this over the Autumn/Winter season.

First Impression - Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Really Red 006

This is the perfect, snow white shade, it's probably the most perfect red lipstick I own, it's absoloutely gorgeous, and it's matte which I also love, I actually don't own very many matte lipsticks but considering how beautiful this one is, I'm definately going to invest in more from this line.
I love this lipstick, not only for the colour, but because of the fact that even though it's matte, it doesn't accentuate my dry lips, it doesnt make them look dry or make the dryness stand out and it doesn't make my lips feel dry and that's incredible. The lasting power is actually really good as well, at least a good few hours before I have to reapply and that's inbetween eating and drinking etc.
I also love the packaging, it's not very big so I can carry it around no bother, I also love the colour scheme, you can't go wrong with black and gold.
Overall, this is a holy grail product and I intend to purchase more of these :)

First Impression - Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Mulberry 788

For me, this is the perfect shade of a purple / black lipstick, which is an awesome colour for the autumn winter season. It is probably one of my favourite colours, along with red to wear for that time of year and is probably my statement lip shades.
It is a sheen lipstick so it is quite shiny on my lips, which distacts from any dry skin and it helps to make my lips feel moisturised.
It did last quite a few hours, but with wearing it while eating, drinking and kissing, well, it's bound to wear off but that doesn't really bother me, it only takes a few seconds to reapply so, it's all good.
I also love the packaging, it's really small and compact and it's also matte which I love
This lipstick will definately be my statement lip colour this Autumn/Winter. and for only £4.99, I'm definately going to invest in more shades, I love it!

My Make - Up Storage

Lets start with the left hand side
This is where I keep my everyday make - up like my foundation, concealers, mascara etc.
If you seen my latest haul post then you would have seen this item I got from TkMaxx, it's a storage book that I have decided to use to store my foundations in.

This is the bulk of my collection. Here I keep all of my palettes, brushes, lipsticks and lipbalms. In the glass jar to the left I keep all of my small lipglosses, lip balms/lip tints.
Both of my brush holders are from B&M
I've arranged my lipsticks to that all of my summer shades are to the far side, the neutrals are in the middle and all of my winter shades are at the side closest.
I got these drawers from muji. It's a small set of two drawers, small set of five drawers and large two drawer set
I use a candle holder from B&M to hold my eyeliner pencils in and the floral crown is from Primark

Product Review - Topshop Powder Blush

I'm not a huge wearer of blush, I think I have enough pink in my cheeks that I dont even need to wear any at all, unless I go full coverage, but that doesn't stop me from buying it and as soon as I seen this one in Topshop, I fell in love.

I only have one other blush from Topshop and it's a cream blush called Afternoon Tea, and even though I love it... I prefer this one more. This one is in the shade Good Girl and is a beautiful baby pink shade. It's not chalky or excesively powdery and the pigmentation is wonderful. It also has a slight shimmer to it so it's really flattering when applied and helps to illuminate the look of your skin. It's now my new favourite blush for summer.
I also love the packaging of Topshop products, it's just really simple, white and black - you can not go wrong with that

Topshop is quite an expensive brand so I wasn't surprised to find that their make-up would also be around the same price range and Bourjois or L'Oreal etc, but it is definately worth the money, I love love love it :)

Product Review: Dream Lumi touch Concealer by Maybelline

I'm on the fence about this product, the reason I picked it up was because I wanted to try a new highlighting concealer for around the eye area and what have you - but I was a little disappointed and a little pleased.

What I liked...
Firstly I like the packaging, it's short, sweet and simple with a twistable bottom and a brush tip. I like when concealers have brush tips especially for under the eyes, it means there's less hassel and less mess, which is a big yay in my book.
I also like the covering power of the concealer - it gives quite good coverage for under my eyes which is a must for me, I like to have bright healthy looking skin around my eyes which this concealer does.
I love, how it adds a luminescence to my undereyes (clues in the name) - it gives a nice healthy glow without being too obvious or fake looking.

What I don't like...
I only disliked one thing, and that was the fact it didn't highlight under my eyes - it just, as I said before added a luminescence to the area, I wanted to make the area a shade brighter just to really highlight and define it - but this concealer just didn't carry it out. Which is disappointing because it states it's a highlighting concealer, sad face.

But I do like this product for the reasons I mentioned before and I may repurchase it when it runs out :)

Review - Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer

The first time I ever seen this product was when I my sister bought it a few years ago and I absoloutely loved it. I use to use it on her all the time, which she didn't appreciate but sure, haha. I've wanted my own ever since then and it has taken me this long to eventually buy it, shame on me.
What I like...
1. The Packaging - the packaging is really simple, and easy to use/open. It's not incredibly big so I would be able to take it with me in my bag which I really like. I also love the fact that the bronzer looks like chocolate, it really adds to the product and was one of the first things I loved about it.
2. The Product - It smells devine, it looks awesome and is a wonderful colour on my skin, the payoff is also really nice, a little goes a long way and its also very easy to blend.
3. The Price - it's not extremely dear for a drugstore brand but it is up there with the likes of L'Oreal etc etc, but it is definately worth the money in my opinion. It's £8.99 from Superdrug.

What I Dislike...
I don't dislike anything! I love this product and it is definately my favourite bronzer.

:)

Small Haul

I recently decided to treat myself to a few new goodies as I haven't really had the money to spend but as my holiday etc. is all paid off, I thought why not :)

The first things I got are from Tescos. As I'm going back to college I decided to get a few bits just to start the new year off with some new goodies. The first is a Diary for 2014/2015. I wanted a new diary for a while but when I seen this I just had to get it. It's not overly big, its about an A5 size maybe just a tad bigger and it's also quite thin which I love - this was on sale for only £2.50. The next thing is a note pad with dividers. I love these kinds of notepads especially in my subject there are a lot of different units so it really comes in handy, this was also only £2.50. I then decided to get a pencil case and when I seen this owl one, I literally ran for it, its so adorable I couldnt put it down - this was £4.00. And lastly I decided to get the very well known book, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green - so many people have talked and raved about this book and the film and as it was only £3.85 - I had to get it.

I then went to Superdrug and picked up a few items. Firstly I got three Bourjois products as they were on a 3 for 2. I got the Chocolate Bronzer in the shade 52, I got the Healthy Mix concealer in the shade 51 and a Lipstick from the Rouge Edition range in the number 02. I'm so excited to try these prodcuts out and I'm going to do a review on all these also.
I then got the Fit Me foundation in the shade 120 and the Dream Lumi Touch concealer in the shade 01 by Maybelline - I love this foundation, it was a past favourite of mine before I started to use the Bourjois Happy Light foundation - so I thought i would go back to an old fav.
Lastly I got a blusher from Topshop - this is a powder blush and is in the shade Good Girl which is a really beautiful baby pink colour.

Lastly I had to get new wax as I had ran of my other one - this time I decided to get a cream wax rather than the honey as I personally prefer it - and I got it in Fruit Smootie as it's a really pretty pink colour and it smells delicious.

My Summer Essentials/Tips

We all know that once June hits, everyone goes a bit summer mad, and living in Ireland, it's pretty hilarious to watch and see. The majority of people here don't protect their sun when out in it, and to be honest I don't really blame them because, we don't get a lot of it - but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful with what you wear, and what you put on your skin.

And for me, being so pale and only having a tendency to burn, it is very important - so here are my...
Summer Essentials/Tips

1. Some Form of Sun Protection
The reason why I didn't write sunscreen was because you can have SPF in a number of different products, such as your foundation, primer and even moisturiser - I will admit though, that it is pretty difficult to find a product of these that have SPF, they are pretty limited but with that being said, it doesn't mean you shouldn't look. The product I use on a daily basis is my Simple Kind to Skin Illuminating Radiance Cream (SPF 15). I love this product and I would use it nearly everyday as a primer for my foundation - it just gives such a nice and healthy glow to your skin without making it look shiny.

2. Appropriate Clothing
This breaks my heart saying this... *deep breath*.. but black during the summer for me, is a big no no. As I'm sure you's know, black attracts and white reflects heat, and for me personally, when I get too warm I tend to feel physically sick, crazy right? But not even that, black is just an incredibly dark colour and is far better suited during the winter because in summer everything is bright and colourful, and so should my clothes. Although in saying that, a small part of black is okay, like just say a crop top or vest, I wouldn't advise black skinny jeans or something like that. But from now on during the summer I intend to wear bright, colourful clothes that really emphasise the season such as; yellow, green, sky blue, lilac, pink and white etc etc. and even just really bold and colourful prints or floral print clothes.
Clothing that is too tight is also a no no, I want my skin to be able to breath, I don't want to drown in my own fluids :) so nice loosely fitted jeans, shorts, skirts, wavy tops etc are all in my wardrobe

3. No Make-up Make-up
The worst thing that could happen during summer, is your face melting off. So light make-up is one my most important essential for summer and in order to achieve this, I use my Bourjois Happy Light foundation along with a beauty blender. I love this foundation in general, but in summer it's just my holy grail, this is because the foundation is incredibly light feeling on your skin (clues in the name) and gives really good coverage even with only one application. Its also very luminous and gives a really nice glow to your skin. Using this product with the beauty blender also means that you don't use nearly as much as you usually would as a little goes a long way and the beauty blender really helps to cover all of your face and blend it really well :)
Excuse the dirty beauty blender haha, it's being washed today :)

4. Hydration
Staying hydrated is key to having good skin, and during the summer we all know that sweat tends to just come out of everywhere, which dehydrates your body and your face, so staying hydrated is super important and you can do this by drinking water or using skin products that are designed to rehydrate your skin. I'm not a big lover of water I'll admit, the only way I can drink it is if it's flavoured or with diluted juice, but I have discovered a product which I am in love with and is really good and rehydrated my face even over my make-up and it is the Simple Kind to Skin Moisture Boost Hydro Mist. I would definitely recommend this product, and as it's decently sized I can carry it with me in my bag :)

I hope you like this post :) If you have any questions then drop me a comment

Make-up Removal

I have recently bought two new products to remove my make-up with. As most of you's should know by now, I love using face wipes, especially the Nivea Daily Essentials or Simple - but what I've found, especially with the Nivea, is it leaves my skin feeling very dry and somewhat tight - which would be great for people who love to use soap (which I wouldn't recommend) but it gives you that very squeaky clean feeling, personally I don't like that feeling.
So when I was in Tescos I was looking at all the skincare brands and I noticed a product that I'd never seen before, it was the Garnier Soft Essentials, Comforting Cleansing Lotion. The only other times I have used a lotion to remove make-up is in my Facial class and I loved it. It was very hydrating and didn't leave your skin feeling dry so I had to buy this product. It is enriched with Rose extract and is for dry skin, which I have during the autumn winter months and can be used on the face and eyes.
I've been trying this product out for a few days now and I love it! I use it every night to take off my make-up  with some cotton wool pads and the effect it leaves on my skin is wonderful. It's very moisturising, especially because it's for dry skin, and it keeps my skin hydrated throughout the night and even into the morning. It takes off my make-up really, even waterproof mascara so it's a win win all round! Plus it smells divine :)
I picked this up on sale for only £2.00

I also picked up Simple's Eye Make-up Remover. I love Simple with a passion, it's my favourite skincare brand EVER. I picked this up because I didn't know how the Garnier Cleanser would do with all of my make-up and as I've used this product before and it was magic, I decided to get it again.
It takes off my eye make-up easily using cotton wool pads and as there are so many caring vitamins in the Simple products, it didn't leave my eye area feeling dry and it didn't leave it irritated
Love Love Love it.
I picked this up for £2.00 also :)

I picked up the Large Cotton Pads for 99p in Tescos :)

My Make-up Storage/Set-up

So I've been debating doing a blog post like this for a while now, mostly because I haven't been 100% happy with it and I'm still not, but I figured that it's going to take a while for me to get the set-up I really like so I might as well give you all a general idea of what way I set up my make-up.
..
I've seen a lot of Youtubers rave about the acrylic cases you can buy and use to store your make-up in, so I new I had to get them. I ordered mine from MUJI - http://www.muji.eu/. Muji is great for all different kind of storage, especially if you don't want to splurge on acrylic storage which is that bit more expensive but anyway. I bought three items from Muji which were;
- Acrylic Box with 2 drawers and a flip top lid - £8.50
- Acrylic Box 2 drawers, wide - £10.95
- Acrylic 5 drawer box - £24.95
All of which you can see below :)

I didn't organise it in a particular order - I was just going in order from top to bottom in what I would apply first onto my face.
This drawer contains all my liner and mascaras. It also has some random tools and eyelash glue
This drawer is for my go-to eyeshadows which I would use on a daily basis
This drawer also contains some of my more popular eyeshadows which I would use regularly
This drawer contains the eyeshadows that I don't use all that much - its pretty abandoned lol

This drawer contains all of my concealers, eyebrow tools and some product samples

This drawer is my Favourite lol it contains all of my glosses, liquid lipsticks etc and is the most colourful, which I love

This drawer is sort of miscellaneous. It has random bits and bobs of everything and some products which I haven't used yet

This drawer contains all of my bronzers
And this drawer contains all of blushers and highlighter

That was all of my acrylic drawers and what I have in them. Beside it is where I keep my lipsticks, brushes and palettes which you can see below

My lipsticks are being held in a 24 clear acrylic lipstick holder which I got off ebay
As you can probably tell, I haven't included my foundations or powders - that's because I don't have anywhere to store them as of yet, they're just sitting on the floor beside my unit. When I do have some type of storage for them, I will do a post showing them :)

I hope you liked this post! :)
