Book Review - The Collector by Victoria Scott

I honestly don't know where to begin about this book... Dante Walker, he's amazing. Like I mean, drool worthy even after just reading the first chapter. He's your typical bad boy from the very start, but gradually as you read you start to see a different side to him. The protective, caring, fierce side.
It's not often that books like this would be written from the males point of view, granted it would alternate every other chapter in some books, which I like, but this book, seeing it from a males throughout was so captivating.. I loved it!

Dante is sent on a mission to claim a girl's soul, which is no problem for him as he is the best at what he does - which is collecting and sealing souls -so getting one girl's shouldn't be a problem should it? Little does he know that this girl, could tip the scale between heaven and hell.

Charlie is the other main character in the book and she is great. She's smart, funny and caring - so when Dante shows up at her door she doesn't know what to think. Here she is - the geeky, unpopular girl with only two friends - and he wants to hang around with her? Obviously at the start she has her doubts about him, but nonetheless, he treats him like anyone else - with a warm heart and kindness. Eventually however - he offers her something should would never have expected - to make her beautiful, but at a price.

Victoria's story telling also is amazing! Her style of writing captivates you from the very start and  you literally don't want to put it down! Her every detail of the characters and the places leaves you able to image it clearly in your head as if you were truly there, and that is a very hard thing to do.

The Collector is actually going to be a trilogy. The next book is The Liberator and it won't be out until August this year and I can't wait to read it :)

Drugstore Haul :)

So I went shopping yesterday, the main reason was because I just dyed my hair and I wanted to find some new hair care products to help me maintain the shine and softness.
While I was shopping I ended up getting a few other products - don't worry, I didn't get all that much :)

I do have a bit of problem with blackheads, especially around my nose so I  decided to test this out and maybe do a review on it also it it turns out to be good! :)

I actually purchased the John Frieda shine spray first as it was only £2, but then I seen the Tony&Guy was on sale also for £2 so I decided to get it too... cheeky :)

This was the only hair mask I was able to find in savers.. Dove is a very good brand for their deodorant and moisturiser so I'm hoping this is good! If so I'll do a review.. plus it smells amazingggg! :)

Question

I recently received an email the other day asking about the tattoo on my arm. The question was whether or not I felt as though I was committing copyright and why couldn't I have came up with a quote myself.

Basically, the first ever books I bought was the Night World series by L.J. Smith and this was when I was14/15. These books were what gave me the desire to start reading because of the imagination and captivation that was in them and when I first read that quote I immediately fell in love with the words. This is because I felt as though I could relate to them, and the story. Yes I took it from the book but there's a difference between copying something because you can or for the sake of it, or taking something you can relate to and learn from.

Reading that quote, being a girl and also being 14/15, it was nice to see something that was true, yes, no one will live forever including the people you hold dear, no one will stay young and beautiful forever, but no one, including myself will be alone if there's love in my life, and that's what I love most about it :)

I know tattoos aren't everyone's cup of tea, but if its something that you find meaningful and want to remember for the rest of your life, why not?

I was also asked about my other tattoo, my other tattoo is the Celtic symbol for sisterhood. My two sisters and myself got it and I'll have a picture below :)

Book Review - Existence by Abbi Glines

The main reason why I love to read is because I'm able to get so involved and actually feel like I'm apart of something bigger than my normal average life and that, surprisingly, makes me extremely happy! You're able to fall in and out of love with characters, share their happy and sad moments, get angry with them and also be brave with them! :)
So, when I started to read Existence by Abbi Glines, I immediately fell in love. Existence was one of the best books I had read.

Pagan has been seeing ghosts her entire life - usually they don't bother her unless they notice she can see them, which happens rarely. So when a ghost actually talks to her in school - she doesn't know what to think. Not only does this ghost talk to her - but he follows her and tries to help her, which wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't smokin' hot and Death

Pagan is a great lead character - she's strong, smart, funny and impossible not to like. She goes through some challenges in this book and you can't help but cheer her on and hope she makes it.
Dank is death. Yes when I say death I mean he leads away people's souls when they die - he doesn't actually kill them. But even so - you can't help but love him. He came into this story preparing Pagan for when she dies and yet... he saves her and begins to protect her - I mean, what can hurt what death protects right? Dank is dark and mysterious and a total dream.
But then there's Leif - the heartthrob of the school who has had a thing for Pagan for who knows how long - granted he didn't even tell her but still - when Pagan starts tutoring him they form a connection and Pagan starts to like him - which leads to a love triangle which gets very exciting.

Overall - I love this book, it has a great story, it's intriguing and fast paced - you can't help but love the characters and want them to succeed in whatever may be thrown at them

Tattoo ♥

(I know I've posted a lot today, I've just had these planned for a while! :) )

Okay, so I got this tattoo about 3 weeks ago after waiting for literally about 5 years! I first seen this quote in one of L.J Smiths books - I fell in love with it immediately!

I was pondering for ages where to get it, what font to get it in and whether or not it would be worth it.
As I got older, the quote never left my head, I had it written all over my school books, my folders and my computer (not literally, but on a sticky pad :)) so I had to get it!

So eventually I came up with the perfect font for it, and also where to get it :) I wanted to get it in a place were I would be able to see it and appreciate it....... so, after waiting for a few years, the time came for me to get it done (I was terrified, might I add) but I've never been more happy! :D I absolutely love it!

The pain on a scale of 1-10 would've been about a 7, especially up and around the armpit region :) This is actually my second tattoo so I was some what familiar with what comes with it :)
