Product Review - Rimmel Provocalips

The main reason I bought this product was because my friend recommended it to me... but I must say, I'm not impressed.
The shade I picked was Skinny Dipping and overall, I think the packaging is lovely and simple and the idea is great, but for me, it didn't do what it said on the tin - the Step 1, which is the colour was grand, it was really pigmented and quite shiny and it wasn't sticky or anything, but when I applied Step 2, the Lock & Shine, it literally took away all of the shine and made the product matte and it also made my lips feel quite sticky.
I do love the colour from this product and maybe I just got a dodgey one? So i may risk trying a different colour or something, but if I do use Skinny Dipping in future, I won't be using Step 2.

MIA and Shopping

I'm going to apologise for being so MIA lately, I've been so busy with tech everyday and working nights that I haven't had time to properly sit down and do a post - granted I don't really have the time at the minute to either, but I don't want to leave you guys hanging.
Plus... I have been doing quite a bit of shopping this past month - like, a lot. Especially in Boots and Superdrug... I'm addicted. So I thought I would share with you the items I have purchsed in the past few weeks, beauty and non beauty.

I intend to do a blog post about the make-up items quite soon and I'll obviously be going into a lot more detail as well so keep an eye out :)

Superdrug Haul

I love Superdrug, it's probably my favourite drugstore ever, they always have amazing offers which I just have to get. I did pick up a few items the other week so I thought I'd show them to you guys :)

I purchased the eyeshadow stick, bronzer and lip butter from Collection all for £2.50! They were on sale, I almost died. The eyeshadow stick is lovely, you can see a swatch of it below, it's really iridescent and helps to illuminate my tearducts and brow bone. The bronzer is also gorgeous - it has a slight shimmer and as it's a mosaic, it helps to add extra dimension with the different shades. The lip butter crayon is a really lovely plum colour, its pigmentation is lovely and it lasts quite a good few hours - all are brilliant for the price! I also picked up the Little Mix love eyeshadow palette for £3.99 and it is so nice, the shades are lovely and really pigmented.

There are 5 shimmer shades and one matte

Shade 2 - Radiant

Vanilla Sky 1

4 Perfect Plum
I then purchased another Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stain in 040 Shanghai Sizzle - it's a beautiful red shade, it's really glossy and moisturising on my lips, I love it. Plus it was on sale for £5.99! Bargain

First Impression - Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 08 Grand Cru

I bought this on Saturday, and I've literally worn it everyday since. It's absoloutely lovely. Its a new Rouge Edition line from Bourjois and it's called Velvet which is a liquid lipstick range. When I first swatched this shade, I wasn't 100% sure on it and I wasnt sure if that was because it was just a tester and maybe with everyone using it it had made it go all weird or what, but I decided to risk it anyway as I had £10 gathered up on my boots card as you do.
But I really do love it, it's a really velvety consistency and it feels so soft when applied to my lips, all of the products in this range are a matte finish, and even with that it doesn't leave my lips feeling, or looking dry which is a huge bonus in my book. It does last a long time as well which is awesome. I also love the packaging, it's beautiful and simple and I also love the applicator as it is quite small so it means I don't have to waste time lining my lips or anything.
Overall I really do love this and I intend to buy more from this range.

First Impression - Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stain in Parisian Passion 005

I'm very much into lip stains and when I Fleur de Force's review on how these and how much she liked them I knew I had to give them a try. I chose this colour because it looked like a lovely dark berry colour, and I'm sure yous are all aware that I love those kinds of shades for Autumn Winter.
I do really like this product, it's really soft and moisturising on my lips, and as you can do with a lip stain product, you can build the layers and even after about three layers of this product, it didn't dry out my lips.
The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the shade, when I initially seen the product and packaging, it looked like a really dark berry shade, but when it's applied and even after three layers, it's more like a mix between a fuscia shade and a plum shade. But even at that, it's still a really nice product and I intend to wear this over the Autumn/Winter season.

First Impression - Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Really Red 006

This is the perfect, snow white shade, it's probably the most perfect red lipstick I own, it's absoloutely gorgeous, and it's matte which I also love, I actually don't own very many matte lipsticks but considering how beautiful this one is, I'm definately going to invest in more from this line.
I love this lipstick, not only for the colour, but because of the fact that even though it's matte, it doesn't accentuate my dry lips, it doesnt make them look dry or make the dryness stand out and it doesn't make my lips feel dry and that's incredible. The lasting power is actually really good as well, at least a good few hours before I have to reapply and that's inbetween eating and drinking etc.
I also love the packaging, it's not very big so I can carry it around no bother, I also love the colour scheme, you can't go wrong with black and gold.
Overall, this is a holy grail product and I intend to purchase more of these :)
