Maybelline Fit Me Foundation & Concealer

Maybelline is a great drugstore brand - it's affordable, it has a huge range of products and has been around for years! For me personally, the Fit Me range is my favourite - I love the foundation and concealer.
The foundation retails for £9.99 which is the standard drugstore price for a foundation. It has a smooth texture - it feels lovely and moisturising on the skin and makes the skin look healthy and dewy and it also has an SPF of 18. As the texture is smooth, it is very easy to blend and it doesn't appear cakey or anything like that. I picked up the shade 220 Natural Beige as I like to wear this foundation with tan and it matches my tan very well, though there are 18 shades altogether in the collection so choosing a shade to match you would be fairly easy.
The concealer retails for £5.99 which is also a very good price. It has quite a light and smooth texture which makes it very easy to blend and smooth over any fine lines around the eye area - and it also helps to brighten the under eye are as well. It does have good coverage so I also like to use this on blemishes.

MIA and Shopping

I'm going to apologise for being so MIA lately, I've been so busy with tech everyday and working nights that I haven't had time to properly sit down and do a post - granted I don't really have the time at the minute to either, but I don't want to leave you guys hanging.
Plus... I have been doing quite a bit of shopping this past month - like, a lot. Especially in Boots and Superdrug... I'm addicted. So I thought I would share with you the items I have purchsed in the past few weeks, beauty and non beauty.

I intend to do a blog post about the make-up items quite soon and I'll obviously be going into a lot more detail as well so keep an eye out :)

Product Review - Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer

I love the brand Bourjois, I love their foundations, primers, bronzers and lipsticks, but I've never tried any of their concealers and as I've heard good things about the foundation version of this concealer, I thought I'd try it.
I'm on the fence, there are things I like and things I dislike, nothing too major to be fair but still.

What I like...
I like the packaging of the product, I love the red, granted there is a lot of writing on the packaging but yet it doesn't look crowded or a mess.
I like the consistency of it. At first it looks rather thick, but once you start to blend it in it goes on really smooth, it's not cakey at all and it very easy to blend.
I like the fact that it hid my blemishes well and it didn't take much product to do so.

What I dislike...
I don't like the smell. I know it has the whole fruit therapy thing going on, but it smelt like artifical fruit so it wasn't very nice at all.
As I said before, it hid my blemishes well, but it didn't hide the redness. The redness still shone through the concealer which I didn't like. It hid my spots, but not the redness... weird.
It's not good as an under eye concealer, as it is a bit thick, I noticed it really clung to the small lines around my eyes especially when I smiled it was very noticable.
I also dislike the applicatior, it does get quite messy - I would've preferred if it had a brush or sponge tip applicator to make the process easier and less messy.

Overall I do like this product, but I don't know whether I would purchase it again.

Product Review: Dream Lumi touch Concealer by Maybelline

I'm on the fence about this product, the reason I picked it up was because I wanted to try a new highlighting concealer for around the eye area and what have you - but I was a little disappointed and a little pleased.

What I liked...
Firstly I like the packaging, it's short, sweet and simple with a twistable bottom and a brush tip. I like when concealers have brush tips especially for under the eyes, it means there's less hassel and less mess, which is a big yay in my book.
I also like the covering power of the concealer - it gives quite good coverage for under my eyes which is a must for me, I like to have bright healthy looking skin around my eyes which this concealer does.
I love, how it adds a luminescence to my undereyes (clues in the name) - it gives a nice healthy glow without being too obvious or fake looking.

What I don't like...
I only disliked one thing, and that was the fact it didn't highlight under my eyes - it just, as I said before added a luminescence to the area, I wanted to make the area a shade brighter just to really highlight and define it - but this concealer just didn't carry it out. Which is disappointing because it states it's a highlighting concealer, sad face.

But I do like this product for the reasons I mentioned before and I may repurchase it when it runs out :)

Review - Maybelline Eraser Concealer

I fist heard about this product while I was watching foundation routine videos on YouTube, nearly everyone had used this in order to conceal their under eye circles, along with the reviews, the hype about this product was unreal! Therefore, I gave in to temptation and decided to buy it :)

Originally, I used my Garnier anti-dark circles concealer in light, which I am still very much in love with, but I decided to leave that for the time being and use the Maybelline one. I used it for a few days and I have to admit... it lived up to the hype.

The shade I got was Light and it was £7.99
My first impression of this product was that it was quite a thick consistency which therefore lead to great coverage! It didn't get into any of my fine lines. Personally I don't think you would need to set this with a powder on a day to day basis as it isn't oily or greasy, but if you are going out on the town or something like that, and you will be dancing or moving around a lot, I would set it just in case.

This product is also good for concealing other things not just under eye circles. I do have some redness along my chin due to scarring and it covered it really well and lasted the majority of the day and that was with a setting powder.

Overall, this is a great product and not just for the under eyes. Its a great consistency and is well priced! I definitely recommend :)
