I love trying new products for my face just in case I come across something wonderful and skin saving, and one of the things I rarely try are face masks, I don't know why, I just don't use them that often. So when I was in Superdrug and came across this, I decided to give it a go.
I do have normal to dry skin, but in the summer I do tend to get oily around my T zone, like most people and that is were the majority of my imperfections lie, ranging from pustules and papules to blackheads, and as this mask was purifying I knew that essentially, this would work to help really clean my pores and bring any of these imperfections to the surface so they can be removed.
My first impressions on this prodcut is that, I like it. I only applied it to my T zone, where I get oily, and it began to set after about 30 seconds, which it didn't specify on the packaging which was a bit annoying, I'm not a huge fan of setting masks, I don't like the thought of not being able to move my face. On the initial application, it was a light grey colour and when it was applied to my face it had a tingling effect which I'm assuming was because of the witch hazel present, but I didn't like it, at first I didn't know if it was meant to tingle or if I was allergic to it or something as I do have sensitive skin, but after a few minutes the tingling subsided. It says to leave it on for about 7 - 10 minutes but I only left it on for 5.
The day after I applied it I noticed my skin looked much better, it had a really nice glow and looked a lot clearer especially around my t zone where I applied it. Later that night a few pesky spots appeared that were hiding under my skin and I was able to remove them easily.
Overall I do like this face mask and I do intend to use again as it done what it said on the tin, so to speak, granted it did leave out a few details but that doesn't really matter as they weren't major. For only a few pound from Superdrug you can't really go wrong.
