First Impression - Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 08 Grand Cru

I bought this on Saturday, and I've literally worn it everyday since. It's absoloutely lovely. Its a new Rouge Edition line from Bourjois and it's called Velvet which is a liquid lipstick range. When I first swatched this shade, I wasn't 100% sure on it and I wasnt sure if that was because it was just a tester and maybe with everyone using it it had made it go all weird or what, but I decided to risk it anyway as I had £10 gathered up on my boots card as you do.
But I really do love it, it's a really velvety consistency and it feels so soft when applied to my lips, all of the products in this range are a matte finish, and even with that it doesn't leave my lips feeling, or looking dry which is a huge bonus in my book. It does last a long time as well which is awesome. I also love the packaging, it's beautiful and simple and I also love the applicator as it is quite small so it means I don't have to waste time lining my lips or anything.
Overall I really do love this and I intend to buy more from this range.

First Impression - Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stain in Parisian Passion 005

I'm very much into lip stains and when I Fleur de Force's review on how these and how much she liked them I knew I had to give them a try. I chose this colour because it looked like a lovely dark berry colour, and I'm sure yous are all aware that I love those kinds of shades for Autumn Winter.
I do really like this product, it's really soft and moisturising on my lips, and as you can do with a lip stain product, you can build the layers and even after about three layers of this product, it didn't dry out my lips.
The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the shade, when I initially seen the product and packaging, it looked like a really dark berry shade, but when it's applied and even after three layers, it's more like a mix between a fuscia shade and a plum shade. But even at that, it's still a really nice product and I intend to wear this over the Autumn/Winter season.

First Impression - Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Really Red 006

This is the perfect, snow white shade, it's probably the most perfect red lipstick I own, it's absoloutely gorgeous, and it's matte which I also love, I actually don't own very many matte lipsticks but considering how beautiful this one is, I'm definately going to invest in more from this line.
I love this lipstick, not only for the colour, but because of the fact that even though it's matte, it doesn't accentuate my dry lips, it doesnt make them look dry or make the dryness stand out and it doesn't make my lips feel dry and that's incredible. The lasting power is actually really good as well, at least a good few hours before I have to reapply and that's inbetween eating and drinking etc.
I also love the packaging, it's not very big so I can carry it around no bother, I also love the colour scheme, you can't go wrong with black and gold.
Overall, this is a holy grail product and I intend to purchase more of these :)

First Impression - Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Mulberry 788

For me, this is the perfect shade of a purple / black lipstick, which is an awesome colour for the autumn winter season. It is probably one of my favourite colours, along with red to wear for that time of year and is probably my statement lip shades.
It is a sheen lipstick so it is quite shiny on my lips, which distacts from any dry skin and it helps to make my lips feel moisturised.
It did last quite a few hours, but with wearing it while eating, drinking and kissing, well, it's bound to wear off but that doesn't really bother me, it only takes a few seconds to reapply so, it's all good.
I also love the packaging, it's really small and compact and it's also matte which I love
This lipstick will definately be my statement lip colour this Autumn/Winter. and for only £4.99, I'm definately going to invest in more shades, I love it!

Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll - On

I've been using this product for ages now, and I love it! As it's from Simple, my favourite skin care brand ever, it's perfect for sensitive skin which I have - and I haven't had any problems with it so far.
I use this product everyday in the mornings to help my tired eyes, as it is a gel formula it's really lightweight and feels really nice on the skin. It  also has a metal ball applicator - which helps to cool my eye area so if they're puffy, or just feeling really tired and yuck,  it will bring the puffyness down and help to really soothe and calm the area.
I've also noticed it helps to reduce the look of fine lines and dark under eye circles if you use it continuously which is also a huge benefit and for only a few pound from any chemist or drugstore, I would definately recommend this :)

Book Review - Flight (The Cresent Chronicles #1) by Alyssa Rose Ivy

Sometimes you just have to take flight.
A summer in New Orleans is exactly what Allie needs before starting college. Accepting her dad's invitation to work at his hotel offers an escape from her ex-boyfriend and the chance to spend the summer with her best friend. Meeting a guy is the last thing on her mind - until she sees Levi.
Unable to resist the infuriating yet alluring Levi, Allie finds herself at the center of a supernatural society and forced to decide between following the path she has always trusted or saving a city that might just save her.

Ill be honest in syaing that I don't really know what drew me to this book, it definately wasn't the cover, I really don't like it... it was probably the fact the blurb mentioned a supernatural society, I have a thing for those and I was pleasently surprised to find that it wasn't the typical vampire/nephilium side of the supernatual spectrum - it was something completely different.

I really enjoyed this book - it was like nothing I've ever read before and that's always a good thing, I loved the characters and I loved the story line.
The plot was paced at a decent speed, it didn't go too fast, where you didn't even know what was happening, and it didn't go too slow, where you were praying for the chapter to end. I really enjoyed the story, a summer away to another city to work for your dad, then you meet a handsome, charming, alluring yet very annoying guy to end up getting caught in the middle of a supernatural power struggle - that's a lot to take in - but Alyssa made it exciting. She made it so that the entire story just flowed, you werent sitting there wondering what in the world is happening and that's one of the main things I loved.

I also loved the supernatural side of it, Pterons. I've never heard of them, but they are very important in this story, and are the main part of it - Levi, his friends, his family, are all Pterons and rule the supernatual society in New Orleans, which no one tells Allie - shocking - and in order to keep peace (so to speak) the heir to the thrown must find a mate, or else the society will be moved to the next city with an heir who has already chosen a mate - that bit was a bit confusing. But I'm sure you can guess where I'm going with this.

Overall I did really enjoy it, the budding romance, the supernatual, the danger and excitment - what more could you ask for in  a book?

My Make - Up Storage

Lets start with the left hand side
This is where I keep my everyday make - up like my foundation, concealers, mascara etc.
If you seen my latest haul post then you would have seen this item I got from TkMaxx, it's a storage book that I have decided to use to store my foundations in.

This is the bulk of my collection. Here I keep all of my palettes, brushes, lipsticks and lipbalms. In the glass jar to the left I keep all of my small lipglosses, lip balms/lip tints.
Both of my brush holders are from B&M
I've arranged my lipsticks to that all of my summer shades are to the far side, the neutrals are in the middle and all of my winter shades are at the side closest.
I got these drawers from muji. It's a small set of two drawers, small set of five drawers and large two drawer set
I use a candle holder from B&M to hold my eyeliner pencils in and the floral crown is from Primark

First Impression - Purifying Face Mask with Witch Hazel

I love trying new products for my face just in case I come across something wonderful and skin saving, and one of the things I rarely try are face masks, I don't know why, I just don't use them that often. So when I was in Superdrug and came across this, I decided to give it a go.
I do have normal to dry skin, but in the summer I do tend to get oily around my T zone, like most people and that is were the majority of my imperfections lie, ranging from pustules and papules to blackheads, and as this mask was purifying I knew that essentially, this would work to help really clean my pores and bring any of these imperfections to the surface so they can be removed.

My first impressions on this prodcut is that, I like it. I only applied it to my T zone, where I get oily, and it began to set after about 30 seconds, which it didn't specify on the packaging which was a bit annoying, I'm not a huge fan of setting masks, I don't like the thought of not being able to move my face. On the initial application, it was a light grey colour and when it was applied to my face it had a tingling effect which I'm assuming was because of the witch hazel present, but I didn't like it, at first I didn't know if it was meant to tingle or if I was allergic to it or something as I do have sensitive skin, but after a few minutes the tingling subsided. It says to leave it on for about 7 - 10 minutes but I only left it on for 5.
The day after I applied it I noticed my skin looked much better, it had a really nice glow and looked a lot clearer especially around my t zone where I applied it. Later that night a few pesky spots appeared that were hiding under my skin and I was able to remove them easily.

Overall I do like this face mask and I do intend to use again as it done what it said on the tin, so to speak, granted it did leave out a few details but that doesn't really matter as they weren't major. For only a few pound from Superdrug you can't really go wrong.

Small Haul

My intial plan when I went into town was to buy a new lipstick, just one... but my plan failed. With help from my boyfriend, who egged me on to buy things, I may have bought too much. The shops I bought from were Superdrug, Boots, TkMaxx and Poundland, we'll start with Poundland and work our way back.

The reason I went to Poundland was because I really wanted a glass mug for the likes of hot chocolate and smoothies etc. and I seen this... yes it is a classic beer mug, but for only being £1, I had to get it. I will be using it for smoothies and what not because it is really quite awesome. I love it

Next I went to TkMaxx, I love there wee storage boxes and as I'm a huge book lover, when I seen these storage boxes I just had to get them, plus they were really inexpensive. The smaller one, Paris, was only £3.99 and I'll be using this to keep my passport and house kets etc. in. The larger one, Italy, was £4.99 and I'll be using that to store some of my make-up

And lastly I went to Superdrug and Boots. Initially, like I said before I just wanted to buy a new lipstick, so I went to Superdrug because they usually have really good offers, unfortunately I didn't see any, which sucked, but then I went over to Sleek and seen that their Lipsticks are only £4.99! I was really surprised and had to get one. I then went over to Collection and looked at their lip pencils and seen they have a really nice plum shade, which I've wanted for ages, and for only £2.99  had to get it.
From Boots I got two Revlon lip products because they had an offer on, two lip or nail products for £10, and as I've been eyeing up their moisture stains, I had to get one and then I seen a really lovely matte red lipticks which would be perfect for autumn/winter.

5 Damson
788 Mulberry (Sheen)

005 Parisian Passion
006 Really Red (Matte)

As you can probably tell, I am preparing my lip products for the autumn/winter season, as it is only around the corner. Let me know if you've tried any of these products and what you think :)

Brand Review - Technic

I'll be honest, I've never heard of this brand before and I only came across it because my work decided to bring in some make-up to help boost sales, and this is the brand they brought it. So far, I've been pleasently surprised, when I swatched the shadows on my hand while I was in work I was shocked, the pigmentation is wonderful and so are the colours in general, I will say though that the shadows may be a tad chalky, and I would guess that there would be a lot of fall out during application, but I don't mind that. For £1.80, what more could I expect? There were three palettes available, Nude, Bronze and Smokey; I got the nude and bronze because I don;t really wear grey/black smokey eyes so it would have just been a waste but so far I'm loving the palettes that I did purchase. I will say though that I would have preffered if the Nude palette had one matte colour as the Bronze and Smokey palettes did, but no matter.
For the nail polishes - I was immediately drawn to this colour, it's in the colour Indian Ocean and to me, it really does look like the perfect colour to represent the Indian ocean. I also love the fact there are two ends, it really adds the polish and I just couldn't help but by it, plus it was only £2.00! bargain! There were four of these polishes in total, but the others didn't really catch my eye, but considering how lovely this one was, I may just have to get them anyway!

Coastal Scents Winterberry Palette

As it is coming towards the end of summer and entering into Autumn/Winter season, I thought I would just share with you one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes for the Autumn/Winter season, and it is the Coastal Scents Winterberry Palette.
My mum got me this for Christmas and I love it. It has the perfect berry shades for the season and as all of the shadows are quite frosted/shimmery, it really adds to the effect. The pigmentation is also really good, as you would expect from Coastal Scents, and as I have green eyes, they berry tones really compliment them. I ll definately be using this most throughout the next season :)

Snow White and The Huntsman

I love this collection. My mum bought me it for Christmas and even though it looks like I haven't been using it very much, I have used it quite a bit. It's the perfect palette if you want to create a nude eye look.
The collection consists of 6 eyeshadows, 3 shimmer and 3 matts, a black eyeliner pencil and a red lipstick. The shadows are lovely, they're not chalky and have really good pigmentation and the shimmer isn't too much it's just slight which is also very nice.
The eyeliner is just a simple black liner - it's smooth and has good pigmentation also.
I love the red lipstick, it's the perfect shade for a Snow White inspired look, it's also very smooth when applied to the lips, it has great pigmentation and it also smells quite nice.
The packaging is also really nice - it's very simple which the apple on the front, the colour are also very nice I love the red, black and white theme that goes throughout and overall it's just a really lovely collection and I love it
