Favourite Winter Lipsticks

Winter is a great time to start experimenting with different lipstick colours and for me, being able to alter the look of your makeup by only changing one small aspect of it is something I really love and enjoy doing - so in this post I'm going to share with your 5 of my favourite lipsticks for Winter.

 These are my top 5 lipsticks for Winter and from left to right they are;
No7 Pillarbox Red
Revlon Va Va Violet
Rimmel Kate Moss 48
Avon Frozen Rose
Maybelline Tantalizing Taupe
These lipticks are perfect for winter as they are all, non drying and very moisturising and creamy on the lips, the pigmentation lasts all day and the wear of each is great in all weather conditions - I've never had any smudge or run in the rain or cold weather which is always good and the colours themselves are perfect for winter season.

My Favourite Mascaras

Mascara for me, isn't that big of an ordeal, I do tend to like each mascara that I buy because my lashes are pretty decent, they don't tend clump easily and have a natural curve which means less hassel with curlers etc. But there are two mascaras - drugstore ones - which I really love and these are...
Rimmels Extreme Black Wonder'full Mascara with Argan Oil & No7 Dramatic Lift Mascara
Both of these mascaras are amazing, the length and volume they both give is amazing. Neither of them smudge, they don't weigh my lashes down and are both easily removed - so if your looking for a good, inexpensive mascara that gives everything you could want from a mascara, then I highly recommend these two :)

Drugstore Self Tanners

I have used a lot of self tanners from a wide range of brands, and I now think I have found my favourite ones - from Superdrug. I'm all about that natural sun kissed glow and these two tans definitely give that.

The first tan is by the brand Sunkissed which I got when I was over in Birmingham for only £3.99. It has a yummy coconut scent even when rinsed off.  It is very moisturising on the skin and feels lovely as well. Colour wise it is very golden as it has more of a yellow undertone than any of the other tans I used, but once it has developed after a few hours it deepens into more of a natural tan colour.

The second tan is one I have been wanting for ages as I've seen it so much on social media - especially Instagram, and it is  Bondi Sands The Australian tan. I got this the other day when it was on offer for £9.99 and I love it. It also has a yummy coconut scent to it even when rinsed off and depending on how dark you want the tan, you can rinse it off after one hour. The colour itself is very natural, as i you were on holiday - it's not too yellow or orange, but the perfect shade of brown. It's very moisturising on the skin and makes my skin feel and smell lovely

My Perfume Collection

Altogether I have 15 perfumes, which doesn't sound like that much to be fair, I want more! Lol I love celebrity perfumes, but I also love random ones, and high end branded ones.
My favourtie scent is anything sweet, though that's not to say I won't wear something different, as long as I like it, whatever it is, I'll wear it.

My Perfumes
1. Sex and the City - Love
2. Sex and the City - Midnight
3. The Mortal Instruments - Angelic Power
4. Lady Gaga - Fame
5. Bond Girl 007
6. Katy Perry - Purr
7. Paco Roban - Black XS
8. Katy Perry - Killer Queen
9. Britney Spears - Hiden Fantasy
10. Benefit - So Hooked on Carmella
11. Paul Smith - Floral
12. So?.. Kiss Me
13. Kate Moss - Summer Blossoms
14. Britney Spears - Curious
15. Britney Spears - Fantasy Twist

My Favourites would have to be... Benefit's So Hooked on Carmella, Black XS, Britney Spears Fantasy Twist, Katy Perry Killer Queen and Paul Smith's Floral. The majority of these are quite sweet scents which I love except for Paul Smith's, as the name suggests it is quite floral and perfect for summer and It has been my statement fragrance throughout the summer.

Nail Polishes for Summer

Throughout this summer I've really been loving wearing pastel shades on my nails - I don't know why, I just prefer them over the ott bright shades but in saying that - I have worn one particular bright shade which I just love!
I've also loved experimenting with nail art over the summer as well - ust because it really adds to a look especially if it's to match an outfit your wearing or to just jazz up an outfit and to add something unique to the look :)

The first two polishes are from the brand misssporty and I believe they're part of their summer collection - they're really lovely colours and are also pastel shades unfortunetly though they don't have any names.

The next polish is from Collection and from their Hot Looks 60 second range and it's in the shade candyfloss  which is a really nice pastel pink - I don't know wear this one very often as it does tend to go quite gloopy really fast, but it is very nice

The next polish is from Barry M and the Gelly range. I absoloutely love colour - it's the one I have been reaching for the most especially when I'm tan because it looks lovely. It's in the shade rosehip and is a lovely pale pink

This next polish I also love and have worn it quite a lot - its from NYC and is in the shade Blue Sky. It's a really nice pastel blue and is the nicest pastel blue that I have been able to find in the drugstore.

Again this polish from Collection and it's from the Work the Colour range. I love this colour - I do have an e.l.f. lilac shade but its not very opaque and I would have to do about three layers to get a really nice intensity but with this polish the intensity is really nice even with one coat. It's in the shade Lilac Daze

The last polish is from e.l.f and is a really nice nude which I would use quite a lot as a base for doing nail art because I think it helps to add to the intensity of it. I do also wear this on it's own with no nail art and it still looks very nice. It's in the shade Desert Haze

The bright shade I have been loving throughout the summer is from Rimmel and their Lasting Finish range in the shade 504 It's a Scorcher. I love this colour - it's a really bright orange with a slight shimmer to it and it looks so lovely with and without tan - which is definately a bonus.

Below are just some pictures of the nail art I have been loving throughout the summer also

September Favourites

I don't think I've ever done one of these posts before, shame on me. But I have decided that I should start! Personally, I love reading/watching these posts as I love to see what other people are loving! So without further ado.. let's get started!

To be honest, I haven't really found that many favourites during the month of September - but even still - why not share? :)
I've been trying to drink more water for the fact that it helps my sore heads and your meant to drink 2 litres a day anyway. I don't like the taste of water.. okay that's an understatement, I hate the taste of water until I discovered this Volvic with a hint of strawberry. I love this! It's by far the nicest flavoured water I've ever tried and because it's not sparkling it doesn't get sickening.
I'm very fussy when it comes to deodorant. Mostly because I hate the scented ones because I find that, when you sweat, it doesn't erase it - it just covers it which makes you smell like sweaty pomegranate or whatever scent it is and it's not nice. So I've been trying this Dove Pure deodorant for a few weeks now and I love it. It's not scented to it doesn't make your sweat smell weird and it also help to keep you dry which is a big bonus in my book!
For everyday use I've been using MUA Undress Me Too palette which I discussed in my Product Rave post which you can see here if you want to check it out. I love this palette, the colours are so pigmented and perfect for autumn/fall and for only £4 you can't really go wrong!
I've also been trying to cut down on the fake tan because realistically, you're meant to be paler in the cooler months so I've been wearing my Revlon Colourstay foundation quite a lot through the month of September. I love it. This foundation has excellent coverage and evens out my skin tone. It lasts all day which I also love because it saves me from topping up during the day, and doing a beauty course I need to look presentable -not patchy so I'll definitely be using this a lot and repurchasing when it runs out.
My favourite brush to apply this, which I've just started using during September, is the Real Techniques foundation brush. I love this brush, it's excellent for getting into the nooks and crannies that bigger brushes can't reach. My go to foundation brush.
And finally, Bourjois Bronzing Primer. Because I've been going a lot paler in the cooler months and avoiding tan, I use this product on it's on. I got it for my birthday and I've been using it since - it has excellent colour pay off and really helps to contour my face and as it's not too dark, it goes well with my pale skin!

And there is my September Favourites! I hope you liked and if you can recommend any products for me to try in the month of October, leave me a comment! :)
